KBC Bank
KBC Bank, a leading provider of business and personal financial services in Ireland, has contracted IT helpdesk technicians from IT Force, to enhance its service proposition to customers.
KBC Bank has in recent years received a number of awards for excellence in customer service. This initiative with IT Force strengthens KBC Banks in-house support team, and helps ensure the ongoing development of KBCs service delivery programme.
The IT Force technicians work as part of the in-house KBC Bank support team when required. The activities carried out by the technicians include troubleshooting and support for end users, user account administration and desk-side support.

“This model works well for us”, explains Ciaran Tobin, Incident & Helpdesk Manager at KBC Bank. “We have our own in-house IT support team but occasionally we have additional requirements for staff. To accommodate KBC Banks changing requirements, rather than recruit a temporary resource, we use IT Force. This helps KBC secure the delivery of an optimum level of service.”
“The immediacy of the IT Force solution means we can guarantee our high service levels without having to depend on other options such as finding people ourselves or using a recruitment company which is time consuming and inefficient. With IT Force we get vetted, professional people quickly” adds Tobin.
IT Force has been providing contract IT staff to organisations since the company inception in 1999. However, it is only in recent times, due to an increase in demand from the financial services and government sectors in particular, that IT Force formalised the service to its client base.
“As a result of IT skill shortages in Ireland, organisations are having difficulties finding suitably qualified IT staff” explains Joe O’Reilly of IT Force. “As an IT company, we have tried and proven professionals sitting on the bench. This means we can respond very quickly when a requirement comes in for a resource. “Organisations such as KBC Bank need tried and proven professionals who can hit the ground running. We strive to provide the same people each time who are familiar with the site so the induction process is kept to a minimal.
The key criterion for the client is getting a quality candidate at short notice that augments the in-house team.” “IT Force has rigorous screening procedures for all its technical staff" and in-house mentoring and training programs”, explains O’Reilly. “We invest heavily in training and up-skilling in order to provide clients with resources who can perform the job. “Our ongoing partnership with IIB Bank is further evidence of the reputation we are building in the financial and government sectors.”
