  • Time to move to the cloud 01 April 2012

    1st April 2012: IT Force's Joe Molloy explains it's time to move to the Cloud in the Sunday Business Post.

    As the move to the cloud gains momentum, the IT sector should take the lead in ensuring best practice, according to Joe Molloy, director of managed services, IT Force. His comments came as IT Force transitioned from a managed service provider (MSP) to a cloud service provider (CSP).

    He said that the cloud was a new way of engineering, For small businesses, where cost-control was a major issue, it was particularly beneficial, he said.

  • IT Force firewalked for Charity 12 March 2012

    12th March 2012: IT Force walked on fire and raised €15,000 in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.

    On Saturday, 10th March 2012, over 150 guests gathered at the IT Force Firewalk Challenge to support brave employees walk on fire in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin. Guests were treated to an action packed night with 31 firewalkers braving 20 feet of hot coals reaching 800 degrees for the charity.

    The event successfully raised nearly €15,000 for St John’s Cancer Ward in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, smashing IT Force’s original €10,000 target.   

    “I am delighted that all of the funds raised here tonight will go directly towards St. John’s Ward, the National Cancer Paediatric Centre of Ireland. These much needed funds will aid with the new refurbishment of the ward. We cannot thank IT Force enough for their support and we are immensely appreciative for their fundraising efforts,” commented Rachel McGibney, Corporate Fundraising Executive of the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation (CMRF).
