Hypo Real Estate Systems planned to centralise the Groups IT support in Stuttgart. This required downsizing of the Dublin based operation which supported approximately 1200 end users employed by the company.
However, while this transition was occurring, Hypo Real Estate Group wanted to ensure that all IT users received the same high level of IT support that they were accustomed to. The Dublin operation was vital to day-to-day operations until the time that the full transition occurred.
To achieve this, Hypo Real Estate Group decided to augment its existing internal IT team with IT contractors from a suitably qualified provider. "We needed very skilled people for a short period of time. We didn't want to spend time embarking on a costly recruitment exercise for temporary staff as this was a one-offer short term requirement. Nevertheless we wanted quality people who could offer support in a Microsoft, Citrix and CommVault environment. IT Force provided Hypo Real Estate Systems with two Senior Technical Consultants to support the existing internal IT team with the Microsoft, Citrix and CommVault environments. In the Microsoft environment, the IT Force Consultants supported the Microsoft Windows 2003 network and active directory. Typical activities included general troubleshooting and support for end users, user account management and administration; back up support, virus / patch management in addition to on call support. IT Force also supported the Citrix Metaframe farm and assist with data management and security through the CommVault infrastructure.
