Prospectus - IT Managed Services

IT Force and Prospectus - Managed Services Case Study

The Organisational Challenge

Prospectus Strategy Consultants, Ireland’s leading independent strategy consultancy, has selected IT Force to manage all of its IT requirements. The decision was made after a comprehensive review of the managed IT support companies in the Irish marketplace.

Why IT Force?

Diarmaid Ó Corrbuí, director of Prospectus, selected IT Force on a number of criteria.  “We wanted a flexible company that could meet our needs quickly. We cannot afford to have our systems down for any length of time.  IT Force in its proposal and subsequent delivery of service has proven its superior speed of response. Prospectus also requested a straightforward yet comprehensive IT management plan. We received an all-inclusive plan that deals with all foreseen issues and builds in contingency as standard. This is very reassuring.”

All Inclusive IT Plan & Support

IT Force conducted an audit of the existing IT infrastructure and produced a plan that not only catered for existing operational requirements, but also highlighted issues that needed to be addressed in the future.

As Joe Molloy, Managed Services Director at IT Force explains:  “Prospectus does not have an IT department, nor do they wish to have one. Technology is vital to their day-to-day operations but is not a core competency.”

“It’s a major issue for SMEs. They need technology but don’t want to have expensive IT staff . The service we offer replaces the need for dedicated IT staff and is cheaper than having to hire the different levels of expertise required to manage a busy office.”

IT Force provides remote 24x7 monitoring for the Prospectus IT infrastructure. An engineer also is timetabled to come to the office every fortnight to deal with onsite issues.

Key Client Benefit

O’Corrbui added, “IT was a headache for me and now it is not.  People get on with their jobs and technology is like a utility, just like electricity or heating. And as a bonus, we also receive strategic advice on upcoming technologies and upgrades.  Some of these we have acted on, some we haven’t. However, in each case we have the information and can make an informed decision.”
