FSAI - Helpdesk Service

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has selected IT Force’s Managed Resources division to provide it with IT Helpdesk Service.  IT Force’s service includes a qualified full-time onsite resource based out of the FSAI’s headquarters in Dublin City Centre. The resource works with the FSAI’s infrastructure manager supporting 90 end users, in conjunction with the internal IT support team.

“IT Force assists in the provision of a professional and responsive helpdesk service. This allows our end users to access immediate help in relation to any IT issues experienced or general assistance and support with IT,” says Tom O’Regan, IT Manager for Food Safety Authority of Ireland.

IT Force’s resource ensures efficient, secure and highly-available hardware and software systems, and monitors the IT infrastructure on a day to day basis.  “The quality of staff proposed was very high,” adds O’Regan. “IT Force provides well-rounded people with strong interpersonal, communication and technical skills enabling them to work with sta# at all levels, which is important for us.”

IT Force won the contract following a competitive tendering process. The company’s Managed Resources division holds a particular specialisation in the deployment of IT helpdesk support services and resources, providing similar services to many other public sector bodies and government departments.

“IT Force invests in staff training and development on an ongoing basis, upskilling as client needs change,” explains Joe O’Reilly, Sales Director for IT Force’s Managed Resources division. “We also provide back up and replacement sta# , as well as additional staff at short notice. The performance of the resources is also assessed on an ongoing basis by a dedicated HR manager to make sure the client’s requirements are being fulfilled.”
