Deskside Support Contract

Role: Contract (Starting March) - 5 months+
Location: Dublin 2 
Salary: Full time daily rate contract role 

Our client, an Education and training state body, is looking for an experienced deskside support engineer with customer-friendly attitude to act as single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organisation's desktop environment

Desktop Support 

  • Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot, Windows 10, Office 365 and any other authorised desktop applications

  • Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers, mobile devices and any other authorised peripheral equipment

  • Configure desktop hardware to corporate standards

  • Liaise with third party suppliers as appropriate

  • Manage calls using the call management system

Skills and experience required

  • Degree or any other relevant IT qualification

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role is a must

  • Experience of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange

  • Active Directory – user and group security and group policy configuration

  • Managed desktop anti-virus management systems

  • Understanding of ITIL framework and related processes

  • Experience of desktop imaging / desktop application deployment

  • Microsoft RDS

  • Knowledge of remote connectivity tools such as LogMeIn and RDP

  • Microsoft Intune
